Overview

Yayasan Zulka is a web presence for a community/organization (named “Yayasan Zulka”) it serves as a digital “home base” to introduce the foundation, its members, and showcase memories through a gallery. The website offers a welcoming interface where visitors can learn about the origin of the group, its values, and view photos of various events and gatherings. It is fully browser based, accessible on desktop and mobile, and provides a simple, clear layout aimed at conveying warmth, community spirit, and belonging.

Idea

The idea behind this site is to document and share the story of Yayasan Zulka from its humble beginnings (temporary housing for students) to becoming a close knit community. The goal is to create a space online where members and outsiders can understand what the foundation stands for: solidarity, shared experiences, belonging, and a “home away from home.” The website helps preserve memories (photos from events, gatherings, communal living) and communicate the group’s identity to new visitors or potential new members.

Challenge

Possible challenges during development may have included: ensuring the gallery of photos loads properly and remains performant (especially if there are many images), designing a layout that feels welcoming and reflects the community’s spirit rather than a “sterile” organizational site, and structuring content (history/story, member info, gallery) in a way that’s easy to navigate and engaging. Another challenge could be maintaining responsiveness and readability across devices, especially when handling image-heavy pages.

Key Features

  • Homepage with warm welcome message and group identity (“Welcome to Yayasan Zulka”)
  • “About / History” section: explaining the origin story how the foundation started from a temporary house for students and evolved into a community home
  • Photo gallery showcasing events, gatherings, shared memories helping visitors better understand the community vibe
  • Member page (or section) to show members or provide some info about the people involved
  • Simple navigation (Home, Member, Gallery) and social media link(s) (Instagram) for external connection

How It Works

  1. A visitor opens the Yayasan Zulka website in their browser.
  2. On landing page, the visitor is greeted with a welcoming header and introduction to the foundation.
  3. From navigation, visitor can go to “Member” to view member related info, or “Gallery” to browse photos of events, gatherings, and daily life within the community.
  4. The gallery displays a grid of images (events, group photos, etc.), allowing visitors to scroll through community memories.
  5. There’s a social media link (Instagram) so visitors can follow or connect with the community outside of the website.
